Entwicklungsziele sind angestrebte Ergebnisse des Entwicklungsprozesses, die in Form von Anforderungen konkretisiert werden. Anforderungen wiederum sind geforderte Eigenschaften des zu entwickelnden Produktes oder des Entwicklungsprozesses. Sie lassen sich formal durch Merkmale und Ausprägungen ausdrücken. Eine mögliche Ausprägung ist die Entwicklungszielgröße.

Development goals are intended results of the development process, which are specified in the form of requirements. Requirements, in turn, are required properties of the product to be developed or of the development process. They can be formally expressed in terms of characteristics and values. One possible characteristic is the development target size.
