Der tatsächliche Verlauf des Projekts wird im IST-Prozess im iPeM dokumentiert. Dieser verwirft in der Regel den SOLL-Prozess aufgrund von unvorhersehbaren Umständen im Entwicklungsprozess. Das sich aus dem IST- und SOLL-Prozess ergebende Delta kann daher z.B. nach einem Entwicklungsprojekt genutzt werden, um den SOLL-Prozess ggf. anzupassen.

The actual course of the project is documented in the ACTUAL process in the iPeM. This usually rejects the TARGET process due to unforeseeable circumstances in the development process. The delta resulting from the ACTUAL and TARGET processes can therefore be used, for example after a development project, to adapt the reference process if necessary.
