The future of mechanical engineering more than ever requires an integrated consideration of product development functions. As one of the central research areas of IPEK, the research field "Development and Innovation Management" deals with the organization of product development of the future. Take the opportunity and make a contribution!
What we are looking for
In Advanced Systems Engineering, it will be more important than ever to establish cross-functional relationships between domains. The research field has covered this very successfully for a long time and is now to be further developed in order to meet the holistic claim of our research approaches. In this further development, there are many open topics to which you can contribute!
Your task
In order to lay the foundation for a well-founded further development of the research field, a broad empirical basis is required, which should build both on existing literature and on the actual status quo in industry and practice. This results in the following possible theses:
- Systematic literature reviews (SLR)
- Questionnaire studies
- Interview studies with practitioners
- Cooperative assessment and further development of the status quo in the research field of development, product, and innovation management in a partner company
Am I suitable?
If you have a technical background (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, industrial engineering, ...) and are interested in product development in Advanced Systems Engineering, you already meet most of the requirements! If you are looking for supervision for a cooperatively supervised thesis in industry, feel free to contact us.
