Increasing customer requirements, rising system complexity as well as a continuous shortening of market cycles present product development with the great challenge of developing marketable products with a low expenditure of resources and time. In this context, an immense share of resources is taken up by technical changes that are omnipresent in product development and whose propagation and effects are not sufficiently analyzed due to the high product complexity. In order to conduct an efficient propagation and impact analysis, an interactive process model is required that supports the user in systematically identifying relevant dependencies and analyzing change impacts in a transparent and comprehensible manner.

The goal of the work will be to develop an interactive process model that supports the user in dealing with changes according to needs and situations. The process model will be developed using company-specific change cases as examples.

Tasks:

  • Familiarization with the current state of research
  • Development of a procedure model as well as a concept for web-based implementation
  • Implementation of the procedure model in the form of an interactive website and evaluation of the overall concept

Profile:

  • Interest in interdisciplinary issues in the context of change management
  • Interest in methodological topics in the area of change impact analysis
  • Independent and goal-oriented way of working
