GEARE 20-year Anniversary

Event Program

Friday, May 26th 2023 – Main Event

• KIT Lab Tours Part 1 (9am - 12pm): Learn about the latest research at KIT Campus South and North by visiting a variety of institutes and test bench setups.
• GEARE Reunion Main Event (1:30pm - 5pm): Listen in to speakers of the GEARE universities and invited guests from industry and academia.
  • Opening and Greetings by university dignitaries
  • The history of GEARE by the Founders of the program
  • Panel Discussion with professors,
  • Keynotes by industry and research professionals
• Open end evening-event (from 5pm): Dinner for program alumni and university dignitaries at multiple venues

Saturday, May 27th 2023 – Active Workshops and Interactions

• KIT Lab Tours Part 2 (9am - 12pm): Learn about the latest research at KIT Campus East.
  • Tour the "Forschungsfabrik", KIT's newest research building
  • Explore drive system research at our Mobility Campus with exciting tours
  • Workshop Tour and Driving demonstration by our world-leading Formula Student Team KA-RaceIng (depending on weather and race car availability)
• Workshops and Intercultural Learning (2pm - 5pm): Engage and interact with the GEARE family travelling to Karlsruhe from all over the world, understand a bit more about their culture.
• GEARE BBQ & Exhibit (from 5pm): Join our evening program consisting of a friendly and cozy barbeque with friends and family and a small exhibit about GEARE.

Sunday, May 28th 2023 – Recreational Activities

• Recreational Activities (from 9am): Explore southwest Germany by the means of different activities like hiking or local tours.
