“A functioning Product-Life-Cycle-Management is crucial for the continuous further development of our products in order to ensure sustainable development. Working with the global PLM core team over the last few days helped us to explore our current position and define the next steps.”

-Prasad Tejomurtula - Global Product Life Manager at thyssenkrupp Energy and Sugar, Pune, Maharashtra, India

In the third three-day workshop from 19 - 21 November 2018, thyssenkrupp Industries India worked together with IPEK on the further implementation of the PLM - Product Life Cycle Management strategy.

The workshop focused on the interaction between detailed development activities and general changes for new structures and processes within the organization. Therefore concrete requirements and objectives for the individual products were derived on the basis of existing and already executed projects based in the workshop.

In addition to Matthias Göing, Head of Product Lifeycycle Management, and Martin Krex, Global Product Lifecycle Manager Automation & Digitization, Phillip Weingarth also participated this time in his function as Global PLM OU MH (Operation Unit Material Handling). This made it possible to effectively combine aspects of the global PLM strategy with operational PLM tasks and to share the best practices already developed.

"The IPEK team around Florian Marthaler and Thilo Richter very successfully supported us in making the existing experience knowledge of our product managers available for our PLM strategy through methodical product development activities. I am looking forward to further cooperation with the IPEK Team.”
