Investigation of the quality of an EMG measurement system using human upper body muscles in hammer drill applications

When working with power tools, users sometimes experience high forces that can lead to musculoskeletal disorders.  In order to design such products more ergonomically, human strain must be evaluated for different product designs. Muscular strain can be recorded experimentally using sEMG, for example, and then evaluated and interpreted.

Assignment:

The objective is to investigate the influence of vibration on the EMG measurement data quality in hammer drill applications. A suitable experimental study is to be set up and carried out. The measurement data is then to be evaluated and compared with data from the literature. The focus will be on the upper body muscles.
