Development of methods, processes and IT tools for Advanced Systems Engineering

Digitization will play a decisive role in shaping the socio-technical systems of tomorrow: On the one hand, the complexity of technical systems is increasing; on the other hand, the associated production systems and the future organization of work are also changing. Mastering this complexity requires a cross-disciplinary approach. A system-oriented and model-based development system is required that encompasses all areas of strategic product planning and product development, including the associated design of work, the associated services and consideration of the entire value creation system. Advanced Systems Engineering (ASE) offers new solution approaches for this. This is intended to make an important contribution to sustainably supporting technological, service-oriented and social innovations for current and future value creation.


Task:


Within the scope of this work, selected methods of Advanced Systems Engineering from the areas of model-based system development, agility, AI, Digital Twin or impact analysis are to be analyzed and specifically further developed. Finally, the developed approaches are to be implemented and evaluated using an industrial use case as an example.
